Bank of America Logo Origins

Updated: May 8, 2021

When researching the Bank of America logo we came across this graphic from siblisresearch.com while it’s not the most artistic we thought it was a fascinating display of brand development. One that aim to keep its heritage. The combined B and A that was derived from the merger of the Bank of Italy and the Bank of America was used from 1969 till 1998 when Nations Bank was acquired. This logo was actually pretty cool but since 1998 the BofA logo went with their current "windows" log that has only been tweaked a little bit since to a darker blue.
